'finding liberation in being nothing special'
Normcore is really everything ordinary and neutral.
i was recently taking inventory with my friend and boss Byge of Bygecollections for desperate housewives Africa and i was telling her how much my style is ordinary.
She said she couldn't agree with me on that.
now i think the word i was looking for was Normcore, which is really just a low key, non exclusive look with a dash of athleticism.
i have gradually managed to find a balance between being a tom boy and being a lady over the years and sometimes i feel the need for comfort when it comes to fashion.
i also love the excuse to style and get pieces from my brother's wardrobe.
with the heavenly heat in Lagos right now, slips are my go to.
i found and fell in love with this skirt when i was sourcing for items to go on the mako shop, its length and fullness is just super sweet, so far i have worn it to church and school.
like i shared on IG, Monday is a great day to start over and if your name hasn't made the Forbes list..you have a reason to work hard today.
while you are at it, don't forget to aim for perfection.
have a great week ahead.
