I do not think Fashion items ever becomes out of vogue. However, I think those who are fashionable change wardrobes while those who are stylish are far more experimental.
This past few months had me looking like white rice. I stopped being me, the unrelenting ever ready to play dress up me.
I saw myself slip from being Dee Mako to being Dee and Dee was white rice not her usual jollof self.
Anyways she's back, Dee Mako is Back.
She has realized everyone including herself needs her to be garnished and tasty.
..LOL

What do you think about Colour blocking?
For me its one of the funnest ways to play with clothes and colours. Whether its plain pieces or prints, there is just usually something so fun about colour blocking.
I have explored a lot of Tonal blocking in recent times, But something about having these pieces in my wardrobe screamed colour block.
I know a few people might argue that colour blocking is Passé, but I disagree.
There is something about a navy blue top that makes a mustard skirt, work well on lemon accesories with a leopard print scarf that ties red sunnies neatly in. Ans this post proves it.
TIP: always throw in a print piece and work with as little colour as possible, if you want to. That is.
A while back, I walked into a random store and came out with three old school (vintage) shoes, two of them discounted because somehow this people already gave up on any one ever wanting them.
Months after, one of them fit perfectly into this outfit post confirming what I already know. nothing really ever gets passé.
Recently, I have been Learning to be more intentional and to be more strategic about my goals, aspirations, dreams and LIFE in general.
You should too.
I also learnt that just as colour block and jollof will never go passe, I won't too.
Everything is goody here....
And I am really happy.
Stay Goody!!!
Stay Goody!!!

ReplyDeleteFor me colour blocking will never go out of style. In fact I hope to see more of it this summer. Love your top especially and your play with those colourful accessories.
