Hey People & Hello June !!!
Happy new week and new month!
How was the long weekend for those in Nigeria? Congratulations on the new president.
How was the weekend for everyone else?
I spent most of mine procrastinating about reading for my test which is coming up tomorrow while I actually got around to making my hair on Friday, attending an event for media practitioners and bloggers by Hellofood on Saturday and catching up and seeing a movie with my friend Timi on Sunday. I am glad I eventually got around to reading at Midnight.
Reflecting on the journey so far as we enter the 6th month of the year; I have been having mixed feelings about this year and how fast it's moving because of my age..lol
A couple of things i'm grateful for :
- Dee's Blog: the progress, collaborations, recognitions and growth so far is beyond me.
- School: the fact that I have good understanding of most my courses.
- Friend, Readers & Followers: the people have met this year are amazingly and undeniably the best people ever, their feedbacks, comments and compliments keep me going and i'm so thankful for all of them and all of you guys also. my old friends are also precious.
- Family: Just having them around to hide under, lean on, hug, smile and make jokes with without judgement is a blessing. I'm so thankful for my mum and brother.
- Faith: Knowing that God is there when I need him the most, having great understanding of his promises and holding on to his word this year has been a strong assurance that he will forever be faithful to me.
A couple of the things I'm a bit Conscious of and Believing God for :
- Finances: I'm still looking up to God for stability in my finances.
- Travel: I read a quote somewhere about the man who has lived for 64 years and has only seen two cities, and it scared me. i really hope my life would involve more travelling soon.
- Relationship: I know I have met a couple of people who think I am not ready because i'm super busy most of the time, but that reason alone just confirms that they weren't for me as I strongly believe that God is going to send me a partner who gets it.
- Age: So I'm 25 in a couple of months, `:-) ,:-)
this is the scariest point in my life and i hope to write a post about it soon. Its a reminder of every unchecked box in my lists and it creates the greatest anxiety there is.
Reflecting is an important part of life and all this things listed above are not even half of what i'm grateful for or what i'm yearning for but they are the ones i can remember from the top of my head.
what are your goals? what are you looking to God for? what are you conscious of ?
let me know.
Remember GOD's Promises:
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 corinthians 12:9
The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. Psalm 16:6
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.Isaiah 55: 11
Hold on to these promises and you will have the best of 2015.
Thanks for reading.

You look waaay younger than 25 love. You're like my big sister (you're of the same age with my immediate).
ReplyDeleteAbout partner/s, I hope you don't beat me to that post, it's been on my mind for a while now but procrastination...
It's refreshing how goals/needs change as one grows.
I believe if you've got God, you've got everything.
Looking forward to that post nonetheless.
P.S I love your nails, there's just something about white nails, oh and your hair too! Okay bye lol!

Hmmm, i'm just about to put up a similar post. I'm super grateful for family. I know how I've taken them and their unconditional love for granted. It hit me yesterday how rotten I have been always seeking my own space and not wanting to be around them so much. That had got to stop. I'm looking to God for the grace to stop fretting when it comes t things I have no control over and of cos Love, amongst other things.

Ohh you are exactly like me, i think it's a growing up or wanting to grow up by force thing. I go days and weeks in my room without talking to anyone especially without hanging out with my mum even when i know that when i'm down outside my house all i want to do is go home to my mum.
ReplyDeleteon fretting, always remember that God's grace is sufficient for you and say that verse to yourself every time you are down or unsure. it is well with you. thanks for stopping by.x
LOVELY IMAGES....NO MATTER WHAT WE SHOULD JUST BE THANKFUL.
