I have felt it countless times but the need to write and share these experiences, lessons and my thoughts and opinions skyrocketed from two recent episodes and stories that I saw one is the Bruce Jenner's story and the other I would call the N's story.
If we were asked what our biggest fear was at least 80% of us would say being inadequate, dumb, sounding or looking stupid and some people would say to be embarrassed.Looking from where I am now in life I am happy to announce to you that all these things are my fears also but they will happen at least thrice every year till the end of your life time.
You will meet people smarter than you, you will make dumb decisions that on second thought you could have been smarter about, you will be embarrassed by a rumpled shirt you wore to a meeting you didn't plan to attend because there wasn't light to iron, and you will look stupid running into a dapper looking mentor, boss or friend or even crush of yours..hahaa that is a two in one experience.
With all these points in view I'm going to say it here like I shared on my instagram (@dee_mako)
God doesn't make mistakes, that feeling of not being good enough is just a constant reminder to be stronger, to learn more, to be better and to soar.Imagine a world where you get a pat on your back for just existing; that world would be full of quitters and lazy asses. I have read thousands of interviews by bruce and i have read his opinions about being in the wrong body but I still don't get it, I keep asking myself what he thinks makes him a woman because for me what makes a person isn't even their gender but their struggles and fights. I keep wondering what female battle he has fought and won that his own skin doesn't feel good enough for him. I wonder why it is okay for us to hide under social and psychological conditions for not having enough courage to face our fears, habits, issues and insecurities head on.
Moving on, Bruce was not good enough, so i doubt caitlyn will ever be. Beyond the fact that she isn't her original version, she would always still live in self doubt, she would keep masking her life with money and fame and then when she is alone she will still not be good enough.
After all: God saw all that he had made, and behold, it was very good. (Gen 1:31a)
On the other hand N's story is a more relatable one, N is passionate about a sport and found himself playing and playing strongly when not a lot of people knew much about the sport, N was restricted to his compound's space and all he yearned for was a bigger ball instead of a bigger field and once he got a bigger ball, he was happy and started using it the same way he used the smaller ball then the opportunity to play on a bigger field came and N was still playing on just a small section of that field, the coaches and spectators then concluded that he wasn't any good and N believed and argued it and felt bad and not good enough.
There is an N in all of us, a small player in what we love, we keep settling for the smaller options and clothing it with gadgets as opposed to skills. It is a fact that even though we keep learning we will still not be good enough, but it's also a bigger fact that learning at least gives an assurance of what and where we are going, it reminds us that we can be better and we are better.

Whether it's your talent, skill or hobby try harder and be better. Aspire for bigger fields, higher stages, better standards and don't chicken out.
We will never be good enough but we can get better enough.
Believing in one's self and being assured of one's strength is the key to being better.
I wasn't good enough to start blogging, I don't have the money, the time and the resources to run this blog, at some point i even lacked the knowledge and skill but I didn't chicken out, only one thing was important I knew who i was, what i wanted and i started with a step.
I know not alot but I know that we would never feel like we are ever good enough but at least today we can start to understand that that feeling is okay and not as important as we think, we can decide to be BETTER and GREATER than the feeling.
Remember GOD's Words:
“The LORD will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Psalm 138:8
“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” Phil 1:6
"The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior Who saves! He will rejoice over you with joy: He will rest in silent satisfaction and in His love He will be silent and make no mention of past sins or even recall them; He will exult over you with singing. "Zephaniah 3:17
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” I Peter 2:9
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Eph. 2:10
