REVIEW : NATURAL HAIR PRODUCTS I USE

HAIR: 1 YEAR & 6 MONTHS
Lenght: In between my shoulder/collarbone and armpit length

  • coconut oil
  • shea butter
  • honey
  • kuza hair polisher
  • olive oil replenishing conditioner
  • men's organics wave-n-curl keeper moisturizing hair lotion
  • vinoz anti-dandruff shampoo
  • vinoz anti-dandruff conditioner
  • organics root stimulator jojoba oil
  • Blue magic organics super gro hair cream
  • virgin hair fertilizer
other products i use include:
  • Water
  • olive oil
  • random shampoo
So its finally about time i share all my hair products with you all, i had pictures in my drafts since last year but i decided to take new pictures.
Every time i post a picture of my natural hair which is growing very beautifully, i get asked for tips and hair products.
A few tips for going natural can be read here, but right now its all about what products i have in my hair closet.

the oldest product have had on this list would be the olive oil conditioner, and its also the product i have used the most.
thank God its finally finishing because have had it for about a year and the half now...lol don't judge me.
my hair routine is pretty basic;

  • I always wear protective styles whenever i feel like my hair has been out for too long.
  • I don't comb my hair often, i usually just pack it the pineapple way
  • I wash and condition my hair once its out
  • I use the curl enhancer to keep my twists for longer
  • the coconut oil and shea butter help with the shine and texture, the same with honey which i use for conditioning occasionally.
  • the virgin hair fertilizer is for my front hair, it falls off easily
  • while the jojoba oil, kuza hair polisher and organics super gro helps with the shine and moisture, helps keep my hair from being dry.
  • my hair shrinks a lot and this is the first time i'm checking its length in real sense, i'm quite satisfied with its length, texture and growth so far.
My permed hair never really grew longer than this maybe because i wasn't very particular and i cut my hair alot. i love the journey so far and i think my hair is just super gorgeous.

P.S: talking about shrinkage and stretching of natural hair, Chidinma of simply Uneeke put up a post about a technique for heat free blowout for natural hair you should check it out...amazing tips from her.

Your hair is doing so well for 1 yr 6 months considering the fact that you've used one bottle of conditioner for almost 2 years tongue out

Thanks for the sharing your hair products. My friend's front hair has chopped off quite a lot while she had her protective style on. I'll mention the fertilizer tip to her.

Basic hair regimens are the best, no time for long procedures.
Are you particular about ingredients of the products you use?

I used to use virgin when I was in naija, wouldn't say I saw much difference but I loved the smell. If it worked for your edges do let us know because a lot of people are still trying to grow out their edges.
