DAY 9 || THERE IS A REASON, MOST WOMEN ARE ANGRY

There is a reason most women are angry or saucy

There is a reason most of us snap and grind

There is a reason we are constantly wearing tired faces and

Our happy faces are as rare as Christmas spirits

There is a reason!!!

We work our butts off,

but the world is a tilted space

Black lives matter and all lives matter,

Do women matter?

Do our constant strives and hustles matter?

Should our voices be suppressed?

It’s in every space

The envious stares we give ourselves

And those male subordinates

Whose parents have told
that they can’t listen to a woman

the guy that walks into a female’s office,

but can’t open his mouth to say good morning.

And the male cleaner who won’t take instructions

Because a woman isn’t boss enough.

What did we really do

And why shouldn’t we be feminist

Why shouldn’t we be angry

That we work hard and get nothing

Why shouldn’t we yell

Or refuse to work with arrogant men

Who see themselves as superior beings.

why shouldn’t I ignore the request of that guy

who struts into my space but can’t seem to say hello.

There is a reason most women don’t try

There is a reason women give up

There is a reason women seduce

And wear those skimpy dresses and skirts

They understand that's one way to tame a man

And get themselves some power.

Even though it steals their self-worth,

They feel like that’s a fair exchange.

There is a reason!!!

our lives are constantly filled with remarks

""Ohh, no wonder they will say""

as if men don't make bad drivers too

as if woman aren't allowed to have bad days

and scream and nag
as if men aren't has responsible for their own kids
as the women are.
there is a reason!!!

there is a reason women cry
or stay up awake at night
when they dress the way they like,
they are either called names or harassed.
from body shaming to slut shaming
there is a reason women suffer the most.
"She wanted it he shouts, she asked for it"
in the little skirt he blames.
there is a reason women don't glow
there is a reason!!!

we have been shortchanged
we have been labelled
we keep experiencing double standards
and our man gets the thank you when we gift
because the money we make has to come from a man
and the car I drive was bought by a man
not the years of saving and the many denials
that i went through just to afford it.
there is a reason


There is a million and one more reasons,
why women are angry
but the Men other women raised
are the major ones.
Stop these reasons.

(I deal daily with several comments and backlash and even shaming but recently, I dealt with a few people I work with trying to suppress me because i'm female. this is my way of justifying why i might be perceived as mean, angry and maybe even saucy. A lot of women go through this and for the sake of our daughter's, lets make it stop and lets train our son's to be better men.)
