To round up the week end and what would probably be the week on this blog, I decided to bring you all this amazing double dose post that reflects what style in the downtown Lagos, Nigeria is about.
what I mean is that in certain areas of lagos what you would typically refer to as trends, style or street style can be seen literally on our Streets being worn by the average uneducated Nigerian.
Even though today's double dose post just features just a tiny bit of that in form of our colour, prints and poses, it still reflects a lot of what can be seen on the street of lagos.
The madness and craziness of following trends like the sheer trend, the love for prints that fill the market place and at the same time limits and determines what the average nigerian would wear and the backdrops and poses that are in some way ours.
Bidemi Adedeji, stylist and fashion blogger at the style train, i met him a few years ago and i was so excited to have him feature on double dose, he decided on the sheer instantly and gave me the option of prints or i think denim, i'm glad I chose prints as it gave more room to express both our personal styles.
On style, He describes his personal style as simple, fun and straight to the point and looking at these pictures I agree.
You know yellow is always a fun colour.
Even though he opted for a black and white modern print, I went with this ankara pants that I have had in my wardrobe for two long and I just love the outcome.
We both agree that Hats and sunnies are this year's must have accessory and so we both went for versions that reflect our style.
What fashion trend do you think best describes the lagos street style?
do you like this?

IN DEE BEGINNING...
Welcome!!!
The Dee Mako project is a certification that being original, genuine, unpretentious, broke and stylish is a thing.
Before you go further, I would like to tell you a story.
It all started from"Momz" that is what I call my mother. When i was a child, she would buy me the most expensive clothes that looking back she probably couldn't afford.
Then I grew up and realised that 'momz' didn't only buy me expensive clothes that made me look cute, she also managed to give me a voice and teach me something or two about style. Thankfully for momz, everyday since I became aware, I evolve and maybe even inspire.
This is your one stop place for inspiration no matter your budget.
Ask my friends they will tell you i'm a bargain hunter.
My name is Desola Mako but please call me Dee.
So, finally we meet Mr. Mako? Lucky guy!
