When I get something new, My first instinct is always to explore, personalise or customise it and just like buying and choosing the perfect case for a phone i felt the need to personalise my new camera's strap.
I have a lot of fabric from my fashion school days and I own a sewing machine so it wasn't so hard to do. the good part is that if you took home economics or needlework class at some point in secondary school then you are good to go because this is easily achievable with your hands also.
I used leftover kente fabric that my cousin gave me from his trip to ghana and made two strap covers for I and my brother.
On deciding what i wanted and how to go about it, I decided that the best thing was to utilize the strap that came with my camera as i wasn't about to experiment with the strength of fabric that i wasn't sure of so just like wearing a case over a pillow this cover was worn over my canon strap.

IN DEE BEGINNING...
Welcome!!!
The Dee Mako project is a certification that being original, genuine, unpretentious, broke and stylish is a thing.
Before you go further, I would like to tell you a story.
It all started from"Momz" that is what I call my mother. When i was a child, she would buy me the most expensive clothes that looking back she probably couldn't afford.
Then I grew up and realised that 'momz' didn't only buy me expensive clothes that made me look cute, she also managed to give me a voice and teach me something or two about style. Thankfully for momz, everyday since I became aware, I evolve and maybe even inspire.
This is your one stop place for inspiration no matter your budget.
Ask my friends they will tell you i'm a bargain hunter.
My name is Desola Mako but please call me Dee.
