Hello guys!!!
happy Monday!
How was the election at your side for those of you in Nigeria? hope it was peaceful?
It was at my end and the roads are super free today i kind of wish that i didn't have to come to work today..lol.
Moving forward, today's post is one that is somewhat dear to me. I have had this post idea in mind forever and i just finally got around to photographing it over the weekend.
i think it was the buzz i got from the post i did on the 6 way cape dress that pushed and inspired me to get it done already.
well after i graduated from the university, After my days as a party girl, i wondered what to do with all my party dresses and all my long tops as I am not exactly wealthy and i couldn't just give my clothes out and start buying formal or more formal casual clothes.
The need to style all my short dresses and turn them into everyday dresses arose and it birthed so many styling secrets and built one of my strongest skill, Making things work, to what it is today.
here in this post I'm showing you 3 ways to style a short party dress to fit your everyday wardrobe.

WITH TULLE SKIRT |
- With a Tulle Skirt: its important to own a tulle skirt and more important to own a tulle underskirt, i'm hoping to stock some on the blog shop soon. A tulle skirt is my go to everyday for converting short dresses to decent enough dresses. Remember this DIY post here and how i wore it, here? that's the power of a tulle underskirt, it helps to add extra length but i'm sure a fairly full tulle skirt can work the magic.
WITH WRAP SKIRT |
- With a Wrap Skirt: this look i explored even during fashion week, when i styled a short lace dress with a wrap skirt. You can go as far as using print wrap skirts. i presently have two going up on the shop this week. this look is sexy and can help convert those dresses to work ready outfits and date night looks.
WITH FULL SKIRT |
- With the Full skirt: since the full skirt is everywhere right now and is so trendy and easy to lay your hands on, All you need to to throw on a full skirt on all those short dresses and voila you look good enough for church, work and a classy day out.
P.S: Ignore my background, i was working on a side project for makography, you can see some pictures from the project on my IG: @DEE_MAKO.
great week ahead.
