Hello TDMB readers,
I want to start by saying a big thank you to you all for your constant support and feedbacks, God bless you all.
i'm bringing you another double dose post but it is a very unusual one as we both shot separately because we both live in different countries at the moment.
Double dose as I said in the beginning was to help bring together I and other bloggers and style enthusiasts, building a relationship stronger than the usual at the same time bringing inspiration from us to you all.
I believe that with that goal still in mind, this post delivers perfectly and i'm especially glad that it is opening doors to collaborations with bloggers outside my region and area.
Today's double dose lies within the weeks Denim theme and just so you know it actually inspired this week's denim theme.
It features the amazing and ever so stylish Aniekeme Umoh. Let me start by saying why i totally love her blog TFLA (this fashion love affair);
It reminds me so much of what my blog is about in terms of pictures and locations. She takes her pictures in the most beautiful places with characters that add the much needed aesthetic to each of her already personalised stylish looks.
do you get? lol.
what i mean in short term is that her locations along with her style are always on point.
We explored different themes but Denim seemed to always come up, when i asked why she finally chose denim on denim she said " denim on denim is such a classic combination that can be executed in so many different ways. I believed it would be great to showcase at least two of those ways, through this collaboration, while reflecting our personal styles.
Furthermore i asked her what her style is, she said, " To be honest, I'm still in the process of discovering what exactly my personal style is about. Right now, I feel that it reflects some elements of New York City fashion as well as Nigerian fashion but it is still a work in progress.
For someone who is still in the process of discoverying her style she tot killed it, maybe we would collaborate again when she finally knows..lol.
However, there is so much similarity between both our styles, we love hats, denims and good locations but also like she said, styling double denim still gave us room to explore our separate styles in this post.
I find the fact that we both added a touch of brown and white with our hats and shoes so funny and yet so 'great minds think alike' ish.
Tip : Do wear shades of denim when you're styling two pieces of denim and also go for nude shoes, whites, browns and blacks for a more sophisticated finish and lastly, wear a hat.
I definitely love love her style and please do check out her blog here and follow her on IG here
I hope you enjoyed the denim series,this is the last post from the series.
