hi guys!!!
I must start by saying it took me every strength and resource I have to do this post, I'm busy with exam preparations and I can't find my wireless modem so I uploaded this post with hotspot from my phone and all of my credit because I slept off somewhere in between.
The thing about
fashion trends is that even though you don’t follow them, you can learn from
them and translate them in your own way. I think that is what personal style
is.
I thought to myself a
while back how I didn’t have casual looks on the blog, even my friend zee said
she hadn’t ever seen me in jeans before that particular day she was at mine.
A typical casual look
for me consists of shorts or pants, blouse or top, blazers or throw-over and
a hat
or scarf not forgetting the statement bag.
Since I was doing the
same today, I decided to change it up a little and have a street style inspired
shoot at an H junction around my house depicting a regular day for me.
Imagine a shy person
in the middle of the road, it took all my strength to stay put and I couldn’t
even wear my headwear while I was there to avoid unwanted attention.
Talking about the headwear,
it was inspired by Rihanna, I have for a long time collected pictures of her in
fascinator like beanies and face caps with tulle covering a small portion of
her face. Since wearing hats is becoming one of my hat-ddictions this days, I
figured it was the right time to explore it.
Though while exploring mine I decided to go
for a more traditional inspired look and use a Fila (a male cap made from the aso–oke a Nigeria local fabric common to the
yorubas).
What I like most
about this outfit is how a couple of statement pieces come together to make
art.
The Heisenberg tee,
the long jacket, the Ankara bag, the white shoes, the multicoloured aso-oke
fila and the tulle over the face.
The tip is no matter
how simple, normal or casual your look is, make it art by adding a touch of
you.
I don’t think there
is one place I can’t enter with this outfit and yes I got a new hairstyle.
What do you think
about the look? How about the hair? Can I call myself a blonde?
shout out to my friend Ifunanya for coming to support and for being my always available assistant.

I love this concept! From the title, to the poses, to the busy street, it's on point! I really like the hat on this outfit. You really have a unique style, and I admire that.
