So I'm sitting here like I always am after a long days
work.
Feeling something in between being beat and being sleepy.
It's been a freaking long day.
I guess most people work 9 to 5 hence the habit of
calling formal work 9-to-5 work.
Well mine is different, I'm an 8 to 5-er who actually
works 5 to 9.
I start my day averagely at 5 (most times earlier) and I
get back home at 9 (most times later).
It feels so sad that no one told me this was what the
journey was for.
The nursery and primary education of 6yrs, the junior
secondary and senior secondary of 3yrs each. The 5yrs in the university that
killed half of my zeal for life.
This is where it all ends.
I'm quite sure that I'm not the only one that knows and
believes that this isn't the life God had in mind for us.
He couldn't have wanted my favorite phrase to be * I'm so
tired* or God your daughter is exhausted or even *this is not my life* the
later being my fave of the three.
Not a day passes and I don't use one of these phrases.
Well beyond sharing my frustrations with you and calling
out the man that thought that spending 6hours at work, 5 to 6 hours on the road
(I work in Apapa and live in Ajah), for 5/6 days in a week of 7days is genius.
I would also like to get your honest opinions and ask if you think that this is
what life is about.
Also would you be willing to sign a petition to work for
4 days in a week and extend the weekend by one day?
Well if yes please drop a comment, maybe this might just
be the beginning of making history.
And yes I like Maths hence the use of a lot of numbers for this post, I consider myself an above average
student of Maths even though I failed it 3 times in the university not proud of
this though and please don't tell my children to be.
Impressive.. yes
