ART X SOCCER X HAPPY-NESS 1/2/14

Hi guys!!!
How was your weekend? Did you guys get to do anything different? Please Drop your comments and let me know how your weekend was.
On Saturday THE FIRST OF FEBRUARY, I woke up feeling shitty and I didn’t want to leave home, but I and the lover had decided on meeting at city mall since we both live at the extreme ends of Lagos, so I had to battle with myself with his help to get out of bed, take a bath and leave home.

I wore a new playsuit I got on sales at spar in Lekki and I felt absolutely  beautiful and I could tell it wasn’t just a feeling because every guy on my way seemed to know the word hi that day.
On my way into the mall I discovered the NATIONAL MUSEUM in Onikan that shares the same wall with city mall and I decided to stop by to check if it still functioned and to my surprise it did.
So I and the lover went in and paid just N100 each and explored the history of Nigeria from the traditional rites of childbirth to death for different tribes, also we I got to read about trade by barter, different currencies then and the importance of bride price while the lover got to stare at meJ…I was his own art.

THE BEST PART
We finally went to see MURITALA’s car and all I could think was I wish this car was mine…hehhee
It was absolutely beautiful, a vintage six door-Mercedes with red ‘still neat’ leather seats. I saw the bullet holes on the car and that felt sad.
The exhibition area also carried the picture of past head of states and presidents.
Since we were told not to take pictures within (this is one thing I don’t get about Nigeria), we decided to take pictures in the car park and green area that had the swing and the graffiti wall…pictures below, the lover seemed afraid of the swing but I swung really high and my phone suffered, used to be a swing pro as a child.
Finally we ended the date at freedom park where we watched the match between ZIMBABWE - NIGERIA and MAN UNITED - STOKE…at the ESTHER’s REVENGE BAR and had JAGZEE chow’s Chinese rice and noodle meal with coke and beer.
All in all it was a pretty amazing day; I was so full ehn…and I’m guessing the lover was happy.
I just realized I didn’t take enough pictures. Enjoy the little I took below...
