B.O.A.T.S || WHAT DO YOU PUT UP WITH ?


We attach so much to our relationships (friendships, courtships & family) and the places we have come to consider comfort zones that we may end up putting up with so much.

We may put up with unhealthy relationships with the hope that change will happen forgetting the real truth that we can't determine the change in anyone's life but ours.

I read an article a while back about a girl who was making bad decisions and putting up with things that at the end of the day still made her leave.
In our 20 something lives especially, we want to stay part of the clan, the clique and the band wagon that most times we put up with things that we shouldn't put up with.
We hold on to friends that aren't ready to leave the old days behind with the hope of changing them and we go to places we aren't or are too comfortable with because we feel we do not have any other options.
However putting up with all these doesn't change what is and what is is the constant frustration, fatigue and heartache that we end up experiencing because we are putting up with things that are the exact opposite of what we want.

So when you feel you are in a fix and can't help but put up with certain things;
1. Identify what it is and figure out the cause and the span. If it's a permanent issue then you better be ready to leave.
2. At every stage you get frustrated about the issue examine if the expected change seems to be occurring, if no, it's time to leave.
3. Be careful that the issue in itself doesn't change you into an angry person or an indifferent person.

It's important to realize that you do not have to put up with what you don't want to put up it.
And that there is no better time to let go than a new year.
